This Place
A Guarded Intimacy
This place is thoughtful,
gentle and kind—
This place is beautiful,
wonderfully mine.
It feels like magic,
like waking to dream,
Like discovering the impossible
is nearer than it seems.
This place brings levity
to even the hardest days,
Casting radiant shafts of light
into my soul’s darkest caves.
This place holds me safely
while I’m fully, clearly seen,
Quietly affirming
all that I have always been.
This place has a voice—
so steady, so wise,
Softly mending my heart,
slowly opening my eyes.
To the architecture within—
Intricate shapes, delicate forms,
A tender, undeniable awakening
That’s been yearning for so long.
So I will guard this place,
Keep it under lock and key—
Not to hide what lives within,
But to honor what it asks of me.
For this knowing, this being known,
This gentle intimacy,
This place I’m learning to hold
Is absolutely everything to me.
